Before he started the job, he educated us on the materials he would use for our particular job; while many would have been taken the easy road and used acrylic paint, he suggested using an oil based to insure the longevity and durability of the work. He was so considerate; each day, prior to his arrival, he would call beforehand. When he initially set up the work area, he papered or covered everything to ensure there would be no damage to the surrounding area and furniture.

Every day he worked diligently and tirelessly – non-stop until he had completed hiis goals for the day. He made sure everything he completed was to the highest standards and, upon completion of the job, he even vacuumed the area to insure all was clean and ready for use.

For these many reasons, we would highly recommend Jay Munton as a painter par excellence! We have had other painters in our home, but none whose work compares to our most recent project. We would say Jay is not merely a painter, but more a craftsman since he takes such pride in his work.

Jay, the owner, was great on the phone and via email explaining everything very clearly. He recommended that we do the job as time and material. We were a little skeptical of this but his estimate was well thought out and seemed about right. The sole painter was Pat, outstanding, hard working and very nice person. We were totally comfortable with him in our home. Project went very smoothly and was finished in less time then estimated. No down payment was asked for and we selected the colors at the local Sherwin-Williams store, then Pat picked them up. When the job was completed, Jay called and provided the final cost. We were totally pleased and very satisfied. A project and contractor that went well. Highly recommend.
